For the aim of understanding the origin and evolution of our solar system, we take following multidisciplinary approaches in variable spatial scales:

(1) Studies of extra-terrestrial materials, including meteorites and returned samples (Apollo/Luna and Hayabusa samples)
(1-1) Mineralogical analyses, such as rock texture, mineral compositions, and isotopic composition and ages
(1-2) Visible and near-infrared diffused reflectance spectroscopy
(1-3) Experimental petrology: melting and crystallization experiment under atmospheric pressure

(2)Analyses of remote sensing data of lunar and planetary missions Geology, mineral distribution and elemental abundance of the lunar surface are studied using visible and near-Infrared spectra and multiband images from Multiband Imager (MI) and Spectral Profiler (SP) of Japanese lunar mission Kaguya.
